Kenny Buzdas News 10 Drag Racer
I'm Kenny Buzdas. I live in Yuba City, California. I am 18 years old and live for Drag Racing! I am currently attending Yuba College and plan on double majoring in Industrial Technology and Business.
I currently race the J.Ray Concrete Blown Alcohol Dragster in Top Eliminator West. Last season we pulled in 3 wins, the most in our class! I am currently the youngest Advanced E.T. Driver in NHRA and as of 2007 the only driver to ever be activly competitive in an Advanced E.T. catagory and Jr. Dragsters.
I have since retired from Jr. Dragsters. While racing Jr. Dragster I racked up over 30 wins including back-to-back Mile High Shootout Championships at the O'Reilly NHRA Western Conference Nationals. I was also the 2006 Sacramento Raceway Champion and the 2006 NHRA Division 7 Champion.
While in High School I worked for Hall of Fame chassis builder Dave Uyehara. There i worked for almost 3 years learning the trade and building some pretty bad ass race cars! I also spent a summer working for Dennis Sarmento at Sarmento Race Cars.
I have been around racing my whole life. I have been crewing and working on peoples race cars since i was 8. My grandfather, Richard Buzdas, had a Nostalgia Eliminator 1 front engine dragster which we ran in the Good-Guys VRA until we sadly lost the entire opperation in 2001 from a trailer fire while traveling to Las Vegas.
Since then I have worked on numerous blown alchol teams, and a few Nitro teams in the NHRA Heritage Series. I am currently involved with Rich Raymond and his F/E blown alcohol team which competes in NE1. Rich has been racing since the last '50s and still continues to be a strong runner in his class!
My plans are to continue my driving career and would eventually like to go Top Fuel. I have the drive, passion, and determination to be a professional and i think with time and patience it could happen!...besides I'm only 18:)
