After seven years our team has come to the conclusion that it is not : what you know, the championships you have won, how kind or helpful you are to other racers or your advertising partners, or how much exposure and hard work you can offer, but who you know.

;p ....lol..anyone disagree with that?

I absolutely agree! Most business deals are based on existing relationships.

The trick is to come up with a unique way to help your sponsor sell their products or services.
I am sponsored by Currie Racing Rearends because I work very hard to market and promote their company.
I came up with an idea to set up booths at big events and show off their products and hand out catalogs.
They found out they were selling more stuff.
I also promote them on Speed Scene Live TV, an online racing TV show that is free to watch.
Just go to www.speedsceneracing.com anytime and visit the archives page to watch a free one hour racing TV show, or join us every Tuesday night for the live show.
The next 5 live shows will be me doing the show live from the road as I travel across the midwest racing and promoting Currie Racing Rearends.

It really doesnt matter how much you win, or what you say you will do in the future.
What matters is whether they get stuff sold, period.
Its not easy, and lots of racers wont do the work, but it CAN be done.
