Hi all, just joined the site and am looking to meet some good old drag racers and make new friends.  My name is Jim and I have been back in racing after a  few years off, but have been around it most of my life.  I have a 68 fast back Barracuda that I race brackets with (footbrake or No Elect.)

I race mostly in N.M. but have raced in  Phx. Az. &  Shreeveport Louisiana.

I also have a daughter who is starting her 2nd year of racing JR's and a son anticipating his turn, (currently have a car we are building), my dad also races.

 You can say it is in our blood,  Anyway, good to be here and looking forward to meeting and making new friends.

welcome to the site, anyone from NM is aok in my book, please send me some green chile as they don't have it in Texas. if I new that I would have stayed in NM where I was raised. great looking car, where do you race it? I raced NM all over, mostly Albuquerque in several cars, now I'm in Dallas area close to the motorplex, we may have run each other? I had the Shyster [ silver 72 nova, a black 55 chevy, and a redragster I got from Mike Mcfall]  now I have a monza s/st.  what motor is in your car and how fast is it? do you come to Texas any?  good talking at you,  Tom S. s/st 4662   ps I see you are in Roswell racing, thats where my wife is from

I will see what i can do about some green chile for you,

we have raced in Ennis a couple of times at the divisionals, (my dads car) he raced my old yellow 68 cuda and then his 63 maxwedge belvedere unfortunately i havent had a chance to run my car there yet. when did you race in N.M.? I started out racing a blue 69 Ford GT-500 fastback @ alb and then later ran a yellow 68 notchback cuda there, maybe we were out there at the same time?

 I mostly race at Roswell now but used to race alot @ alb  1997ish till 2000 when the city shut it down for awhile, am planning to try and catch 1 of the mopar clubs races @ albq, and we have run the JR's there once but will probably do a cpl more there.  I have family in Roswell and am in telecommunications as well.... small world.. lol.  My car has a 440 and a 727 torqueflite right now and best so far has been 10.75 @ 126 in Roswell.
