Hi all, just joined the site and am excited about meeting some good old drag racers.  My name is Bob and I have been back in racing after a very long down period now for 8 years.  I have a 71 maverick grabber 557ci and do most of my racing in Arkansas and Missouri, some times in Tennisee.  Anyway, good to be here.

Hey Bob, my name is Bob. I see you have a BBF in the Mav. Are you running tall valve covers? If so, how is the clearance between them and the master cyl?

hi, saw you were new and want to say welcome to the site. I ran a stocker 72 mav and a 70 mach1 back in the day, but have switched to chevy since. now back to s/st from s/c after 15 yrs there, hurt my rotatorcuff and can't get out of the dragster very well so i got a monza with doors. keep the post coming, how fast is that ford anyway?  your new freind  Tom S   s/st4662

hey guys, glad to hear from you.  Yes I use tall valve covers but my master cylinder is under the floor board like alot of circle track guys do so that isn't a problem. had to put one way valves in the lines though to keep fluid from backing up.  works real good.  my maverick runs 1/8th mile and so far without test and tuning (in the next few weeks) it has run 5.62, should run around 5.30s.  well guys, like i said, good to hear from you all and keep it coming.
