Busy life
DATE: 11/16/2008 13:42:26 / MOOD: Ready to Race
If I was asked to sum up my year I wouldnt be able to do it. Within a year I have meet some of the best drag racers, amazing writers and the people that make a race weekend posible. I keep busy writing and pray that I'm getting better because my future depends on it. To be apart of a series like AMA dragbike is amazing and a experience I will never forgot. Through thoses people I have learned what It takes to be successful in this sport. I'm roughly 6 months away from my first season. It has been crunch time. Working on the practice tree we have, searching for my bike, pricing the race leathers helmet etc and making sure I have the upper body strenght I need.
Fear has been a factor lately. It seems the closer I get the more I hear about death and accidents. I one race this year I saw 2 crashes and heard about 3 others. Like my hero Ashley Force has said your the only person holding you back. Its time to put those fears aside and get ready to race.
Life is about to get crazy and I cant wait.

Another article done!

Another article done and in the books well the internet. Writing for dragbike.com has been such an amazing experience and i love writing for them! I have now 5 articles this year and am very proud of all of them. The last article was on the AMA dragbike Orient Express US Nationals at Atco Raceway. The race was amazing and it was to much to put in 600 words so i didnt and did about 800 hah. Till this day i still cant tell you when i wanted to be a write i just randomly did one day hooked up with the best Debbie Knebel and got my first article posted a week later. That doesnt mean it comes easy cause it doesnt by any means and i learned that not giving it that extra look or extra few minutes can give you a bad article.I hope everyone enjoys this article and expect 2 more by November hopefully! Enjoy and feel free to comment i take criticism well or just love to hear i did well.

One step at a time
DATE: 08/18/2008 12:12:16 / MOOD: Ready to Race
When reaching the end of a race season your always disappointed. But for me i know im that much closer to my first. Im about nine months away from my first run down the track and i have never felt more ready but more nervous in my life. I have been riding dirtbikes for 2 yrs now but always got in horrible riding areas where i dont learn much. Im finally riding the track and its a lot harder then it looks. What i love most about motocross is no matter how scared you are you have to go through with it. Im not hte greatest on hills and i know there was no stopping i just had to do it and get over it, FEAR TO FAITH. I figured ride track till about october start again March and April and i should be ready for drag racing in may. I have been around drag racing since i was in my moms tummy and new for as long as i can remember that this is what i want to do with my life. I have some of the most amazing people in my corner ready to help me out and teach me everything i need to no. Even my dad is impressed now with the knowledge i know and the questions i now ask. I used to ask really dumb questions, but i know now no question is to dumb. I have witnessed horrible crashes, realized how much money goes into one season and know that have you have to became a machine at what you do. But through all that and more i know i still want it. Writing for dragbike.com has given me even more knowledge and the step in the right direction to start my career.
I cant wait for my first win to finally give thanks to the certain people that deserve it. But till then im going to take one step at a time and just grab the handle bars and go.

Whoever said racing is hard there right.
DATE: 05/23/2008 16:23:48 / MOOD: Ready to Race
So getting to the track is extra hard as always. My dad has been out of racing for about 4 or 5 years, a long time i know. We are having a numberr of engine problems WE ARE NOT ENGINE BUILDERS at all and dont have the money to pay someone. But lucky for us we meet amazin people along the way and someone wants to help us out.
My racing isnt going as good either. Im to young to drag race and dont have the seat time i need. So i race motocross, well im going to attempt to race it. Every great motorcycle drag racer has started off in motocross and i only help it will make me that much better for next season. Racing is my passion and i love every type. I may want to go pro in the NHRA one day but i still want to try numerous types of racing like road racing, motocross, maybe supermoto and anything that comes my way im willing to try. When it comes to racing im serious but still remember its supposed to be fun. Working out/ training to get my butt into motocross this summer is tough but hopefully well worth it. I may have the training like an athlete part down but i dont have the mechanic part down. Im horrible at it and remember what is what. Knowing that Elmer Tretts wife and daughters were his mechanics made me feel a lot better in knowing i can work hard to learn this stuff. Who new a motorcylce was so confusing.
Whoever said racing is hard and expensive they were so right. Hopefully within the next month i got race news. Not this sucks im not racing news.
